The Sustainability Hub

What is the Sustainability Hub Interest Group?

The Sustainability Hub Interest Group holds biweekly meetings for Binghamton University students interested in sustainability! Each semester we establish specific sustainability goals, give group updates, and host guest speakers! Some of our current goals are listed below:

  • Allowing students to have a voice in sustainability and making resources available to all
  • Improving waste management and making composting more accessible to students
  • Work with dining services to increase plant-based options and reduce environmental impacts

In the Fall 2022 semester, over 10 different student groups were represented in the Sustainability Hub Interest Group! Click on their logos below to learn more about the organizations on our Student Groups page!

Accomplishments

In 2021, the Sustainability Hub Interest Group helped to bring OZZI containers back to on-campus dining! The Student Culinary Council (SCC) and other student groups continue to educate the University about how to use OZZI containers and why its better for the planet than single-use take out containers!
