Climate resilience refers to the ability of communities to prepare for, withstand, and recover from the challenges of climate change. It includes implementing measures to not only endure the blows changing climate conditions, but to strategically adapt and emerge stronger in the face of extreme climate hazards like hurricanes, wildfires, and floods. This page offers different resources that you can use to properly educate yourself on extreme weather preparedness and the impacts of climate change!

Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW) is a movement of individuals and organizations who came together and made a commitment to help their communities be able to respond to local climate change extreme weather events. The group started in Massachusetts but now have Climate Resilience Hubs across the United States. The first such Hub in New York state is here at the Binghamton University Libraries.
