- AFI CatalogThis is the American Film Institute site. Covers American feature and short films produced from 1893 to 2011. Print version is at Ref PN 1998 .P57 and covers 1893-1970, minus the 1950s.
Finding Books About Specific Films with Find It!
The Libraries have many books that study individual films. They can be found by using Find It!
To find books in Find It! Type the name of your film (leaving off the first word if it is "the" or "a". If you do not see your film in the results, try looking for it using an author search under the director's name. You can also see if there is a discussion of the film in a book about the director. Directors can also be searched as subjects. Change the Search All Collections pulldown to Library Catalog. Use the Refine My Results filter on the left side of the screen to limit to your results to Books.
