Welcome!
This guide was designed for, and in conversation with, faculty and students in the Spring 2025 ENG 592 Graduate Proseminar II, specifically, discussions about the fundamentals of advanced research (seminar papers, theses, dissertations, bibliographies and reading lists for comprehensive exams) that graduate students need to consider, in concert with the technical aspects of research (e.g., instruction on how to use the best library research resources for your scholarship).
If you discover other resources that you think should be added to this site, please contact Matthew Harrick.
Below are helpful guides for research, and thesis and dissertation writing.
For all of the Libraries' English and American Literature, and Creative Writing resources (beyond what is included in this guide), please visit the English Research Guide.
Happy and successful researching!
