Codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government. It is divided into 50 titles that represent broad areas subject to federal regulation. Each volume of the CFR is updated once each calendar year and is issued on a quarterly basis.
The Federal Register and Code of Federal Regulations can also be searched in ProQuest Congressional. See below.
Unified Agenda
Also known as the Semiannual Regulatory Agenda. Published in the Federal Register twice a year, usually in April and October. It summarizes the rules and proposed rules that each agency expects to issue during the following 12 months.
List of Sections Affected (LSA)
Due to the update schedule of the CFR (see below), the List of Sections Affected acts as a bridge between newly published rules in the Federal Register and the CFR. It provides a cumulative list of CFR sections that have been changed since each CFR title was last updated.
