Getting Started
To get started, register for a free EndNote Basic account at access.clarivate.com/register?app=endnote. If you've already created an account, you can log in at access.clarivate.com/login?app=endnote.
Learn how to use EndNote Basic
After logging into your EndNote Basic account, click the "Show Getting Started Guide" link at the top/right.
We do not recommend using the "search an online database" option as the search capabilities are very limited and the library catalog connection search is not supported. Instead search for sources in any of our library databases. You can then export/download references from those databases and import/upload them into EndNote. Importing references into EndNote includes the Libraries' full-text access link.
- EndNote Online DocumentationSee EndNote Online documentation for instructions on importing, editing, and managing references and for creating bibliographies and the Write While You Cite Microsoft Word Plug-in.
- Importing References into EndNote BasicGuide on how to import references from popular library databases
- Write While You Cite Plug-inGuide on the Microsoft Word plug-in that creates in-text citations and reference lists citations directly into your document.
Support for EndNote (Personal Subscriptions)
If you have a subscription (paid) version of EndNote, please contact Neyda Gilman, Health Sciences Librarian, for assistance.
Binghamton University and the University Libraries do not provide access to the subscription/paid version of EndNote. See the differences between the free Basic version and paid version on EndNote's website.
