Subject Guides

General Information

This guide is designed to highlight resources available through Binghamton University Libraries which may be of particular use in genealogical research, whether for family historical purposes or for historical/biographical study. Please use the tabs on the left side of this page for more in-depth information on specific genealogical topics.

Reference staff at the Libraries will be happy to assist you in learning and using the reference and discovery tools in the collection, including books, periodicals and databases, but we are not able to conduct actual research for individual patrons.

The Binghamton University Libraries extend limited borrowing privileges to members of the local community. For information on borrowing privileges, see Services for Alumni and Guests.

Guest access to computers is available in the Bartle Library, Science Library, and UDC Library Information Commons on a space available basis. See the Community Users/Guest Computer Access section of our website for details.

More information about services for community users can be found at Services for Guests.

See the Library Hours page for up-to-date information on when the Libraries are open.
