Radio & Television Broadcasts
- Current Time TV (Настоящее Время) One of few Russian-language television channels, which are not sponsored by the Russian government. They claim that the channel broadcasts uncensored news, different views on problems, civilized and informed discussion.
- Radio "Kommersant FM" Has close editorial ties with the newspaper of the same name and the latter's website, where it has its own subpage with a live programme. The radio station's commentators have more leeway for criticism and polemics than the print edition.
- Radio Free Europe "RFE/RL’s mission is to promote democratic values and institutions and advance human rights by reporting the news in countries where a free press is banned by the government or not fully established."
- Russia Today Russia government-controlled TV channel mainly broadcasting world news in different languages. Gives a Russian perspective of the world.
- Sputnik International Sputnik HQ is located in Moscow and includes newsfeeds, websites, social networks, mobile apps, radio broadcasts and multimedia press centers. The agency covers global political and economic news.
- Vesti FM News and other programming based in Moscow.

- Argumenty i Fakty Argumenty i fakty (Аргументы и факты, Arguments and Facts), a weekly newspaper based in Moscow, once had the largest circulation of any periodical in the world. Founded by the Russian organization “Knowledge” (Znanie), the newspaper’s original goal was to provide propagandists with statistical and other hard-to-find information. During the Gorbachev era Argumenty i fakty became one of the most important newspapers in the Soviet Union – a major tool in publicizing Gorbachev’s policy of glasnost.
- Izvestia Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Izvestia now describes itself as a "national" newspaper of Russia.
- Kommersant Nationally distributed daily newspaper published in Russia mostly devoted to politics and business.
- Moscow Times Independent English-language and Russian-language online newspaper.
- Nezavisimaya Gazeta Daily newspaper based in Moscow, Russia. Weekly Nezavisimoye Voyennoye Obozreniye (NVO) is the supplement to Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
- Novaya Gazeta Independent Russian newspaper known for its critical and investigative coverage of Russian political and social affairs.
- Pravda Online Pravda.ru is privately owned and has international editions published in Russian, English, French and Portuguese.
- Rossiyskaya Gazeta Russian newspaper published by the Government of Russia. The daily newspaper serves as the official government gazette of the Government of the Russian Federation, publishing government-related affairs such as official decrees, statements and documents of state bodies, the promulgation of newly approved laws, Presidential decrees, and government announcements.
- Sankt-Peterburgskie Vedomosti On 1 September 1991 the Leningradskaya Pravda was rebranded as the revived Sankt-Peterburgskie Vedomosti.

- Izvestiia Digital Archive, 1917-2010The complete archive of Izvestiia, the Kremlin's newspaper of record. The Izvestiia Digital Archive is full-image with text, allows browsing and is full-text searchable. Also has a Cyrillic virtual keyboard and the ability to search in transliteration.
- Ogonek Digital Archive.One of the oldest weekly magazines in Russia, this digital archive contains all obtainable published issues from 1923 on. It is the most comprehensive collection available for this title and features full page-level digitization, complete original graphics, and searchable text.
- Pravda Digital Archive, 1912-presentFull-text full-image access to the Russian newspaper, Pravda. Searching can be done with cyrillic-enabled keyboards, the databases' virtual cyrillic keyboard, or with transliteration.
